Jeep Overview

Jeep has to be one of the most popular vehicle brands in the world. The first type of Jeep came in during World War II when it was used by the Americans for terrain that was not accessible to the normal car. Since then, there have been many changes made to Jeep models and they have slowly become luxury cars. The Jeep is still 4×4 and it is still good for use in rough, uneven terrain but the interiors have been changed and more and more people are looking at it as a status symbol since these vehicles do not come cheap.
Jeep the brand, itself has also come a long way. It recovered from chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2009 and since then, it has been unstoppable. It has once again gotten onto its feet and it is making new models that are fast being available all over the world. More people are buying the Jeep branded vehicles because it combines comfort, style, and efficiency which in this day and age is something that people look for in almost everything they buy.
Recently Chrysler the mother brand of Jeep recalled all Jeep 2004 and 2005 models because there were some part of the vehicle that was determined would rust quite easily.  The company recalled the models because they feared that although there were no reports of any accident happening because of the possible defect in the Jeep, constant rust could cause corrosion and the driver may lose control of the vehicle. Chrysler has now also added to the recall and they have upped the total number of recalled units to 356, 900. They are asking that all the Jeep models that they are asking to be recalled be brought back so that they can make the necessary changes to the defective parts of the vehicle. They have also promised that if in the event that the vehicle owner has already made changes on their own to the defective part, they will reimburse them for their expenses.
Jeep seems that it will still claim a place at the top with the way that it has been handling its business. More satisfied customers will mean more sales because word of mouth is free advertisement that is also very effective. With this move they have shown that they are concerned about the welfare of their consumers which is going to sit pretty well with any consumer.

Silver stitches are also found in the steering wheel’s leather, seats, door fabric, door pulls, rings for the dash vent, and the grab handles.

Outside the Wrangler Freedom jeep is a seventeen-inch alloy in Mineral Gray. It also comes with bumper and grille inserts for the bumper with matching gray color.

What is really great about this kind of jeep is that certain parts of the proceeds will be given to charities. This is in consonance to the celebration of the United States Independence Day. The veterans will be the ones who will serve as the beneficiaries of these proceeds from the sales done by the Wrangler’s Freedom Jeeps.

According to Mike Manley, the CEO and President of The jeep’s brand declared that the company is happy and very much willing to give $250 for every unit sold. All of the proceeds will go straight to charitable organizations and will benefit both the returning and current members of the military in the United States.

Of the many iconic jeeps scattered all over the world, Wrangler proves to be one of the most outstanding. If you are going to spot the identity of Freedom, you can easily determine that it only comes in three colors. Freedom can only be availed in colors like Bright White, True Blue which is only exclusive colors for Freedom cars, and Deep Cherry Red.
Each of the Freedom models comes with a star in military style which can be found in the car’s rear quarter panels and hood. They are also enhanced with Oscar Mike’s fender badges, OM’s silver-stitched on the car’s tectonic and black fabric seats.

The 61.8 percent increase in Jeep sales in Europe is credited to its strengthened dealer network resulting from its integration with the Fiat Group. It is predicted that if the trend continues,

Jeep brand can become the best import brand in Europe.
The Jeep brand’s current production models are the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, the Jeep Liberty, the Jeep Patriot and the Jeep Compass. Sales for 2011 were 122,460 for the Jeep Wrangler, 127,744 for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, 66,684 for the Jeep Liberty, 47,700 for the Jeep Compass and 54,647 for the Jeep Patriot.
The Jeep Compass and the Patriot did not perform as well in the market. Both model’s sales for the first six months registered minus 15% and 4% respectively over the same period in the previous year. The 2012 Compass is priced at MSRP $19,295 to $26,205 depending on the options, with the local dealer deciding the final price. The Jeep Patriot is considered by reviewers as one of the most car-like off-road SUVs, and it is ranked 20th out of 21 among the list of “Affordable Compact SUVs” with a MSRP of $15,995-$25,330, again depending on the options and the local dealer determining the final price.

Jeep brand June sales are reported to be up by 23%, with the Wrangler recording its third all-time monthly sales record during the last 12 months with 14,461 units sold, an improvement of 28% over the previous year. The best seller Cherokee sold 12,506 units which is its best June sales in the last seven years, and a of 39% increase over the previous year. The Jeep Liberty recorded its best month this year with sales up by 50% over the previous year, and its best June record since 2007. Some quarters attribute the Wrangler’s popularity to its being the only remaining American utility vehicle with a manual transmission. The Grand Cherokee on the other hand is a consistent top performer in “Car of the Year” competitions. New cool look.
This is the 6th month in a row that the Jeep brand has reported sales increases for the year. January sales were up by 37%, February by 30%, March by 34%, April by 19% and May by 24% compared with the same months a year ago.
Jeep brand sales worldwide grew up by 41% and 44% in the U.S. in 2011. The highest growth were registered in Europe, where sales have grown by 124% in Germany, by 117.6% in Italy, by 71.7% in France, by 21.2% in Spain and by 18% in the UK. It should be noted that the increased sales in Spain and the UK were recorded while the two countries were experiencing economic difficulties.

Another big win was accomplished by Luke McMillin and Justin Smith, his racing partner.  They had won over a group of good performing SCORE Unlimited Class 1 race drivers, beating them by more than an hour in distance. The team had ranked and overall of 5th place with their time of 9 hours, 53 minutes and 22 seconds. The two drivers had decided to create a joint force last year and during their Debut in the SCORE San Felipe 250 Class 1 race, beat out all the other competitors.

With this victory, McMillin now adds his name to the list of celebrated winners of the SCORE Baja 500, which include the names of his grandfather, father, cousins and uncles. According to McMillin, all the tuning and testing of their truck along with the FOX suspension weeks even before the race had all been worth it. This winning would not have been possible if not for the unfaltering dedication and hard work by the FOX technicians.

FOX racers have been victorious ever since they joined the SCORE Baja 1000 in 2009. This ride dynamics company, after this winning, plans to extend their winning streak in November at the 45th SCORE Baja 500 in Mexico.

It is the day for FOX to win big yet again since their first victory in 2009. Two of FOX’ athletes, Justin Smith, Luke McMillin and Bryce Menzies had given their all and had obtained optimum results by winning it big at Mexico’s Baja 500 off road desert race. The winning of Menzies has enabled FOX to earn, for the 10th straight year, its SCORE Desert Series Trophy. There were countless of spectators who surrounded the 450-mile race course in order to view and become present to witness Menzies, the reigning champion, earn, yet again another SCORE in the Baja 500. He had initially started at the 19th in the line and eventually gave a spectacular performance, ultimately winning the race. This racing champion of Las Vegas, after a tedious and tiring 9 hours, 13 minutes and 39 seconds, finally crossed the finish line, with an average of 48.77 miles per hour and becoming the champion by being a mere 11 seconds ahead.

According to Menzies, the race was amazingly difficult. He had to be on constant top speed while dealing with the blinding dust of the Bajas just to get ahead of the leading group of racers. He also added that he had complete faith and confidence with the vehicular technology given by FOX, in which he stated that this gave him an edge over the other competitors. With this knowledge, he took this opportunity to speed up until the finish line. The top ten automobiles in this year’s auto industry.
